Nobody owns the ocean. It's impossible. Why some stupid white man would think he did is just ugly. In Oregon, where I grew up fishing, crabbing and clamming the whole shoreline is open to all. However, in California there are places that are fenced off in an effort to keep people from spoiling the 'view'. I don't know. I hate borders and boundaries of any sort that are meant to keep people in a place some arrogant idiot decides they should occupy or out of one they have an inherent right to walk upon. I'm glad you caught a fish. That joy belongs 100% to you. I hope you reveled in it.
