They don’t need you to tell them that ‘white lives matter’

Kanye West had his back covered in the ‘white lives matter’ hate slogan. He covered the backs of several of his catwalk models with the same slogan. And also the presenter of his ‘fashion’ show. Ye now, I guess, is ‘waking’ himself and others to the fact that Black Lives Matter is “over”. Due to alleged financial improprieties? Or just due to the idea he has that Black Lives don’t Matter?

Lots of people may defend Kanye West for his actions. Maybe they should ask themselves why they are willing to do that. Many other people have condemned Mr West for his erroneous ideas regarding race, race relations and the need for change. I’m not going to do that here. He has the right to his opinion. He fits right in with Lindsay Graham, Donald Trump, Ron de Santis, etc. Those guys, however, would not welcome Ye except for the fact that he is very, very, very rich and he’s willing to give some of that money to their ‘cause’ which is this white lives matter nonsense. The only thing is those guys don’t need a slogan on a back. They live the arrogance. They breathe it, swim in it, eat and drink it. They are fish in a polluted sea who don’t have a clue that somewhere out there is a beautiful fertile land. And now Mr West is trying to swim in that same toxic sea. Makes me sad.

Saying white lives matter or blue lives matter or any other color than Black Lives Matter dilutes the message with that poisonous water. It’s dangerous. It’s deaf and blind to the affirmation and indeed hope that someday all lives will matter. Because all lives do not matter now and won’t until we fully embrace the understanding that Black Lives Matter. Mr West think about what you do. Stay healthy and remember that they don’t need you to paste a hate slogan on the backs of anyone. They need to be confronted and reminded every day that fish die in polluted waters — eventually, inevitably — and that Black Lives Matter.
