Just wanted to say that many, MANY of the professions of belief that you include here are precepts accepted by Humanists; particularly the one about being born good and deserving of love. It's just not god's love that they deserve since Humanists don't believe in invisible dragons. You have much in common with those who do not believe they need either heaven or hell but embrace their limited time on earth to do good and leave behind better. Our 'higher power' if there must be one, is the collective consciousness that drives our better natures. We believe in the inherent kindness of individuals and see this even in creatures who are not of our own species. We think of this as necessary for survival. Survival of the kindest, if you will. There is so much more to learn. For that I wish I could live forever. But even if heaven existed I would not want to end up in a place so exclusive. All the world's wondrous beings deserve inclusion in any concept of heaven for me.
