I was part of that 'liberated' generation. I didn't see it as liberated, once I thought about it. I saw it as exploitative. "What's wrong with you?" Would often be the irritated response to my polite but firm "No". There wasn't anything wrong with me, I was just choosy. These days it appears that too many young people are not 'choosy'. They are indiscriminate, wanting a quick, pleasant release and then goodbye, sometimes never to see their 'service animal' again. My generation was the one that opened that door because suddenly birth control was easy and cheap to get. I don't know what this current Alpha, Gen X, Y, Z really think of the situation they find themselves in but I always wanted breakfast after cuddles and connection. That's human.
