I am sorry sir, but I disagree. I don't think any of us can 'let it go', not whatever colour we are. To let it go is a tacit acceptance of 'the way things are' and that acceptance allows unacceptable conditions to flourish. The way I read this particular article (thank you, Rebecca Stevens A.) is as a notice of attention paid to impolite and downright bad behaviour. If we ignore children who behave so, they continue to misbehave in their ignorance. We must all accept correction when our missteps are pointed out to us. Not to accept such is indeed child-like and looks like a temper tantrum. I've certainly seen temper tantrums on Medium but this isn't one. Instead it is keen observation of a lived experience and I am deeply interested in learning more.
